Certified Applicants Effective March 1, 2007: The State of Alabama Department
of Education has launched a new Online Job Application program for all
certified teaching positions. All Teacher Applicants must use the new online
system to apply for jobs within Click here for the ALSDE Online Certified Application.
Classified Applicants Click here for the Chilton County Board of Education Classified Application. Click here for the Chilton County Transportation Application. (Bus Drivers/Substitutes) Completed applications
should be returned to the Chilton County Board of Education. The Superintendent
and/or their designee will review the completed application. Based on the
results of the review, the application is either placed in an interview file
or an active file to be used later. Applications are approved for interview
based on specific criteria, such as application completeness, academic
qualifications, area of certification, etc. Applications will be held on file for 36 months from the date of receipt, and will be considered for all openings in this period for which the applicant is qualified. After 36 months, the Board will discard applications unless before then the Board receives from the applicant an updated application or notice of a continuing interest in employment.
